To Cashmere or Not Cashmere
Hi everyone!! I am back today with this soft and cozy mint green (technically called “cloud blue” on the BR website) sweater paired with a navy pant! I was looking at my instagram feed last week and noticed that I hadn’t taken a pic wearing pants in awhile (ha!). It was all dresses and skirts! And I have to say, while I DO wear a lot of dresses and such to work, I wear pants alllllll the time too! These pants are some that I purchased a couple years ago from MM.Lafleur and they are still holding up very well. They’re technically navy but have a slightly more purple tone than some of my other navies. I linked them and another similar style from MM below.
This sweater is awesome and from Banana Republic. It is NOT cashmere, but is still super soft and cozy. Okay—side story: Last year, (around this time actually) I received a box from Trunk Club. They included inside of it a very plain gray turtleneck sweater. At first I was annoyed, because I typically like to receive trendier clothes and such from those services, not basics. But then, I tried it on and it was cashmere. Literally the first time I had ever tried on cashmere before. Needless to say, I kept the sweater and swore to myself I would never let any wool that was not cashmere touch my skin again. Fast forward a year, and I bought this non-cashmere sweater from Banana. Heehee. So THAT didn’t last long.
Back to that cashmere gray turtleneck, I haven’t been wearing it because 1. I “lost” it somewhere in my closet and I don’t know where it is???? and 2. I haven’t had the guts to wash it yet. Does anyone know how to wash cashmere without ruining it?
So now we’re back to non-cashmere again. 💁🏻♀️ I linked this sweater below and a similar one. (It comes in a bunch of colors!) In a year or so, when I contemplate washing this, I’ll let you know how it goes.
