Closet Staples from Women-Founded Brand "Sum of the Parts"
I am so excited to share with you guys today a new brand called Sum of the Parts* (SOTP).
Sum of the Parts focuses on creating essential pieces that are office-appropriate, but also great for traveling and casual occasions. Their motto is: “to create a wardrobe of essential and versatile pieces of clothing that make dressing less complicated, but no less stylish.”
They create simple, stylish, well-made closet staples that will mix and match with other things in your wardrobe. The attention to detail is stunning, with meticulous pleats, pockets, draping and other details that make their clothing both flattering and functional.
The fabrics they use are akin to performance fabrics, which makes their clothing super comfortable, breathable, and built to last.
The brand is founded by four women—two of them mothers—that are all too familiar with the busyness of everyday life. They created SOTP to help women achieve the goal of looking good with minimal effort, so we can focus on the things that are really important.
In this post, I’m featuring two different pieces from their collection; a jumpsuit and a dress. I have included links to shop these looks below, as well as some of my other favorite pieces from their collection.
Sum of the Parts Look #1: The Perfect Work Jumpsuit
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that I’m a big fan of jumpsuits. I’ve featured jumpsuits that are perfect for dressier or black tie occasions, weddings and even casual and travel. All this time, I’ve never quite found a jumpsuit that is suitable for work and that can also be dressed down or dressed up accordingly.
That is of course, until I found this one from Sum of the Parts.
This jumpsuit is AMAZING! I have not only worn it to work (P.S. it looks super smart with a blazer!) but also on the weekends running errands, out to dinner, and will also be wearing it for travel too. It is SO comfortable. The fabric is so light, stretchy (but doesn’t lose shape) and breathable. I could seriously wear this thing all day (and I do!) It’s also super versatile. It looks really cute with a cardigan and flats, but also amazing with heels for work.
In these photos, I wore it with a cardigan, and belted it around the waist. I also paired with my favorite nude pumps.
I have also worn it with black pointy flats and a gray sweater. Also, since this piece is sleeveless, it will transition beautifully into warmer months making it a piece than can be worn all year round.
Sum of the Parts Look #2: Day to Night Dress
This dress is a twist on the typical A-line sheath dress that you probably already have in your closet. It has a flattering v-neck line and is the perfect length that allows it to be appropriate for work, but also transition into parties or evening occasions. The best part about this dress is the expert folding and twists of the fabric at the waist line. It is SO flattering and adds some extra coverage to that area. Similar to the jumpsuit featured above, the fabric is light-weight, durable and breathable, making this dress so comfortable it is a dream to wear all day.
If you’re looking for durable, high-quality, stylish closet staples, I highly encourage you to check out Sum of the Parts. Shop these looks and my favorite pieces from their collection below!
