I've worn this dress from Banana Republic to work so many times and am now trying to think of ways that I can bring it into fall with me.
I have linked it and some other similar options below.
I think this dress would also be good for a daytime wedding/ wedding shower/ baby shower, etc. Depending on how dressy you want to be.
I actually have a wedding this weekend that I'm going to with Matt (He's coming home for a whole month!!!). It's a daytime wedding and I have a dress that I'm planning to wear but I think I will bring this one too just for backup. It's always good to have options! In case you're interested, for the rehearsal dinner I'll be wearing this jumpsuit. Which I'm pretty excited about. I've been looking for a good black jumpsuit for awhile now.
Anyways, getting back to the subject of this post, when I wear this dress to the office, I usually throw a white sweater over it because my office is usually frigid. (Brrrrr). P.S. I have a space heater at my desk. P.P.S. I often turn it on in the summer. (hee hee)
On a more serious note, I can't bring myself to publish this post without acknowledging the terrible shooting in Las Vegas. My heart goes out to all of those who were involved and affected. It seems like shootings like these are happening more frequently in the United States. And I just think about my friends and loved ones and how devastated I would be if I lost someone to senseless violence. Lately, it seems like the potential for that happening is much greater.
But it doesn't have to be this way. Nicholas Kristof makes a good point in his column. We did it with automobiles. Today, driving is much safer than it used to be because of incremental policy changes. We should be able to do that with guns too. There is no silver bullet, but I think we owe it to our families, friends and our communities to at least try.
